Ross Metherell

Ross is the founder of Nuevazon. He is a seasoned public company executive with a 15 year track record of delivering significant results in online retail, payments and technology leadership roles.

In his over 10 years on the executive leadership team of Kogan.com (ASX:KGN), the company grew tenfold and became Australia’s largest listed online retailer. Ross was the group’s Chief Marketing Officer, led its M&A activities and spearheaded its transformation from a first party retailer to an online platform, including the launch and scale up of Kogan’s white labelled services businesses: Kogan Mobile, Kogan Internet, Kogan Insurance and Kogan Money.

Ross holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School as well as Bachelors of Management and Marketing from Monash University. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Andrés Franco Abascal

Andrés spent six years (2006-2012) as the Undersecretary of International Commerce and Foreign Investment for the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. During his tenure, he attracted material foreign direct investment from major global organizations including Walmart, Lenovo, Infosys and Lego by convincing them to establish operations in Mexico.

Prior to this, he spent 30 years based in Santiago Chile in senior international leadership roles at Industrias Monterrey S.A. de C.V. where he was responsible for leading up to 4,000 employees and was the driving force behind the group’s international expansion to the USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Poland, and the South American Mercosur states.

Today, Andrés is a senior advisor to a range of organizations including COMCE, Camcham, Uni-Trade, and the Wiszen Institute which is dedicated to human development.  

Andrés holds a Masters in Industrial Psychology from the University of Nuevo León, a Bachelor in Marketing from the University of Syracuse and has completed the senior executive programs at IPADE in Mexico and IMD in Switzerland.

Matthew Lobb

Matthew Lobb is a respected telecommunications industry leader with a successful track record spanning over two decades in senior leadership roles at Telstra, NBN Co, Vodafone, and TPG Telecom.

Matthew was General Manager for the integration of Vodafone and TPG Telecom - the largest telco merger in Australian history.

He also spearheaded the launch of several successful business units including Vodafone’s fixed line broadband business and TPG Telecom’s wireless home broadband business. During his tenure as the leader of Vodafone Wholesale he doubled annual revenue and established the innovative and highly successful Kogan Mobile partnership with Kogan.com.

He has served as Chairman of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association and was a long-standing board member of Communications Alliance, Australia's peak telecommunications industry association.

Matthew holds a Master of Arts from the University of Oxford (where he was the recipient of a Rhodes Scholarship), a Master of Science in International Relations from London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as a Bachelors of Economics (Honours) and Laws (Honours) from the Australian National University.

Mauricio Mérigo Almenárez

Mauricio is a partner at asset management firm Assymetrica Investments AG and is on the founding team of several global businesses including: Edusofía (blue-collar online training), Ecollanti (developer and producer of recycling technology) and PY Development (digital development company with clients in the crypto space).

He has more than a decade of experience managing large scale projects and leading multidisciplinary teams of 400+ people for international clients including Coca-Cola, Michelin, Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Beiersdorf and Nestle.

Mauricio holds an MBA from IPADE Business School and a Bachelor in Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
